As Managing Partner of KORNFELD MACKOFF SILBER LLP, Carol Kerfoot has over 25 years of experience in commercial legal practice.

Born in New Westminster, B.C., Carol obtained her law degree from the University of British Columbia. Before joining KMS, she was a senior corporate commercial partner of a major transactional firm and a member of the firm's management committee.

Carol has extensive experience in a broad range of business and real estate transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, business start-ups and non-institutional financing. She frequently acts on behalf of vendors in the divestiture of their family businesses. Her representation extends to matters relating to shareholder disputes and corporate governance. Carol's understanding of financial information helps her to deliver strategic, results-focused, legal expertise to clients across a variety of sectors.

Carol has served as a director and governance chair of the B.C. Assessment Authority and as a director and Board Chair of the Museum of Vancouver. She currently serves as a trustee of the Vancouver Police Foundation and as a member of the board of directors and governance chair of the Vancouver Airport Authority.

Carol is the mother of three grown children.
