Gareth joined Kornfeld Mackoff Silber LLP in August 2008 as an associate. Raised in New Westminster, he then spent seven years at the University of British Columbia working on his undergraduate and law school degrees. He earned a Class One Bachelors in Commerce with a major in industrial relations management and won the Outstanding Student Initiative scholarship for two years. In law school, Gareth won the Lidstone, Young & Anderson prize in municipal law. He graduated from law school in 2005 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2006.

Gareth articled and continued after his call to the British Columbia Bar as an associate with a prominent Vancouver law firm before joining Kornfeld, Mackoff, Silber LLP. His practice has focussed on labour, employment, human rights and general civil litigation. He has assisted senior partners at all levels of court and tribunals and has appeared at the provincial and supreme courts in British Columbia in criminal and civil matters.

Gareth is also a strong believer in giving back to the community and has previously provided significant pro bono work for the Law Students Legal Aid Program and the Salvation Army.
