A Partner of KORNFELD MACKOFF SILBER LLP, Carol Kerfoot has over 25 years of commercial practice experience.

Born in New Westminster, B.C., Carol obtained her law degree from the University of British Columbia. She joined a major transactional firm as an articled student, becoming a senior corporate commercial partner and a member of the firm's management committee.

Carol has extensive experience in complex business and real estate transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, business start-ups, non-institutional financing, as well as a broad range of other commercial issues. She frequently acts on behalf of vendors in the divestiture of their family businesses. Her representation extends to matters relating to shareholder disputes and corporate governance. Carol's understanding of financial information helps her to deliver strategic, results-focused, legal expertise to clients across a variety of sectors.

Carol has lectured on due diligence in business acquisitions, acted as the legal advisor to the Task Force for Expansion of the Vancouver Convention Centre, and served as a director and governance chair of the B.C. Assessment Authority. She is an appointee of City Council to the Vancouver Museum Commission and is a member of the board of the Vancouver Airport Authority.

Carol is the mother of three grown children.
