As a Partner at KORNFELD MACKOFF SILBER LLP, Lana Li maintains a broad
commercial litigation practice with particular emphasis on commercial
landlord/tenant disputes, equipment and lease disputes, creditors'
remedies, and select family law disputes.
Lana routinely advises on lease defaults and terminations. She has
conducted numerous Supreme Court trials and mediations and has appeared
in the Federal Court and the Tax Court. Lana's diverse practice involves
some personal injury defense, including acting on behalf of an American
insurer, as well as family law disputes involving corporations and properties.
From 1995-1998, Lana was an adjunct professor the University of British
Columbia Faculty of Law, teaching Creditor's Remedies. She has authored
a number of articles and has been published by the Canadian Bar Association
and the Continuing Legal Education Society. Born in Kowloon, Hong
Kong and raised in Vancouver, Lana received her law degree from the
University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar in 1989.
She represents her clients both in English and Cantonese.
Lana is a member of the Civil Litigation, Women's Lawyer Forum and Family Law subsections
of the Canadian Bar Association. She was an elected member of the CBA
Provincial Council from 1999 - 2005 and served on a number of CBA committees. Lana was a Director of the Continuing Legal Education
Society from 2001 - 2007. Lana is married
and the proud mother of two sons.
