It is the home of many of the community's leading organizations, including Jewish Federation and Jewish Family Services Agency. Over the generations, thousands of people have made the Centre what it is today. The Centre is seen as the heart of the Jewish community. It is a gathering place, reflecting and accommodating the community's many and diverse needs. It is no wonder it's simply referred to as the "Centre".

TAKE A HIKE youth at risk foundation

Kornfeld Mackoff Silber LLP is proud to be sponsoring the Take a Hike progam. Take a Hike is an alternative education program that empowers at-risk youth to turn their lives around through a unique combination of adventure-based learning, academics, counselling, and community involvement.

The youth enrolled in Take a Hike struggle with personal issues that inhibits their success in the mainstream school system, such as behavioural issues, addictions, abuse, low self-esteem, depression, unstable homes, and/or trauma. Take a Hike provides at-risk youth with the opportunity to make positive change in their lives through outdoor experiential learning, working through their issues, building confidence and improving academic abilities.
